    • Ha! Ha! Ha! Dear Francis, in this case it is not about art, it is about technology! My merit is that my hand not trembling (the Moon can not be taken from a tripod, because it is constantly in motion). The rest are due to this King of Superzoom (83x), which is Nikon P900.It is amazing that such a photo, can be taken with a commercial photo camera. Can you imagine how it would look the Moon, photographed from Juliaca altitude, with Nikon P900?

      • Considering the distance from the Earth to the Moon I suspect just a hair bigger xD, but even still there is need of a mind to ffame with such elegance the Moon, it’s well composed : )

      • This photo is taken from the terrace of my house. I live at a distance of 20 kilometers from the capital Bucharest. Bucharest is a European metropolis with 3.5 or 4 million people, intens traffic, industry and other things that create pollution. Otopeni International Airport is situated just 15 kilometers from my house. In my post “File 159”, you can see what that means in terms of air pollution. So Dear Francis, when I imagined a picture of the Moon, took from Juliaca, I don’t thought that I’d be closer with three kilometers from the Moon, but in fact that the atmosphere should to be more transparent, than near to Bucharest. In many of your pictures, I noticed a sky which gives me the feeling, that you’re very close to stars (and gods). 😀

      • Oh hehe yes, actually the atmosphere is quite cleaner, and as it has less oxygen and it’s thinner the stars are more numerous. I was forgetting that xD

      • I heard on the news about the floods in Peru! I know that there, in Juliaca, is no danger, but images from Lima that were presented, were terrible. Pope at the Vatican, invoked divine grace for people’s problems in Peru. I hope his prayer ,to be heard by the gods and the people of your country, to pass as fast over the issue of floods.

      • Thank you dear friend. I hope people is well too, and perhaps it’s not moment to say it but it’s a proof of the Peruvian character to don’t do anything to avoid disasters… every time we get more rains the buildings in known and mapped risky places as some hills and cliffs are damaged, it’s so old that the word “huayco” is Quechua so we have them since old times. But sadly persons tend to don’t think in it (and prepare to avoid loss of lifes) and just wait the disaster in order to ask help, some sell the received help, and mostly everybody rejects the offering of homes in another places…

    • This image represents a technical performance. Impressive is that I made this photo with a commercial photo camera. Technological progress is astounding! I try to imagine … what I can to photograph, over 10 years … maybe, Saturn’s rings?!
